Sparkfest
One hand-drawn festival scene, inked in a single color and printed on everything.
The brief
Sparkfest is the College of Creative Arts festival at Miami University, a day where students shine on the quad. The merch needed to feel like the event itself, so instead of slapping a logo on a shirt, Studio Roo drew the whole scene by hand. Vendor tents, lawn chairs, performers, the columned building at the top of the quad, all of it under a starburst carrying the Sparkfest wordmark.
The illustration was built to print in one color of ink, which keeps it crisp at shirt scale and cheap to run on anything. It shipped as white ink on purple tees and purple ink on natural tote bags, with the 2025 date and the festival tagline worked into the drawing. Sketched in Procreate, finished in Photoshop.
