Case study · Branding
High Cotton
A hand-drawn gift shop logo, rebuilt into a brand that keeps the door open.
The brief
High Cotton Gifts had a logo drawn by hand. Wobbly letters, a black door, plenty of charm. The job was to keep what made it likable, especially that open door, and rebuild it so it holds up everywhere a gift brand has to live: tags, bags, storefront, screen.
Studio Roo filled a full sheet with black and white concepts before landing on the one that stuck. The final mark sets bold custom lettering against a door that swings open right out of the wordmark. Around it sits a working system: a named color palette led by Sky blue with Royale and Sizzle behind it, a repeating wordmark pattern, and a seasonal logo that wraps the whole mark up like a gift.
