Bolder Outfitters
A print shop's blank wall, turned into a press mid-run with the ink still wet.
The brief
Bolder Outfitters & Co prints and embroiders custom apparel from their shop in Urbana, Ohio. They wanted the space to show the trade, so Studio Roo painted the machine at the center of it: a carousel screen press with six loaded frames, each one holding a different ink and stamped with the Bolder logo.
From the press, the inks pour into one wave that rolls the length of the wall and drips toward the floor. Riley worked the design out as a digital sketch first, then scaled it up, painted it by hand in flat color and black keyline, and signed the wall under the finished piece.
